The Day of Lenten

Lenten Season, is a celebration that the Catholics are celebrating every year. It is for remembering the sacrifices of our Lord Jesus Christ. Lenten has been a tradition for Catholics and has been a special day for the religion. It is because Lenten is the day that showed how our Lord Jesus Christ had sacrificed himself for our very own sake long time ago.   Every day, on the day of April 14-15 every year, is the day for us Catholics to remember the sacrifices of Jesus Christ. In this day, the Catholic Church advises that all Catholics to fast and abstain from eating meat in specific days. Abstinence is refraining from eating meat while fish is permitted, while fasting is eating only a single full meal per day.   This Lenten season has become an important occasion for us Catholics as it is a reminder for us to not forget all the sacrifices our Lord Jesus Christ had done for us.

A new year, A new Memory for the Festival we love

Hello there my dear viewer, the yearly Kannawidan Festival is over in just a blink of the eye. Have you seen the opening of the Kannawidan festival? Did you with your friends or family? The Kannawidan Festival is one of the most important festivals for us ilocanoes and it is almost a must to go to place every year.   The Kannawidan Festival is important to us ilocanoes especially since we can only celebrate this festival once every year. During this festival, a lot of events appear here and there such as the “Saniata” which if you didn’t know, is a pageant show where every girl represents their own towns and barangays. Of course, the saniata is not just what you can in in the festival, like food stalls are more!   We ilocanoes celebrate this festival with love and excitement within our hearts. And I hope that soon, the pandemic would be gone for us to celebrate this festival next year with no more worries together with our friends and family.

Christmas in an unusual way

It has been 2 years since the pandemic started and the Covid-19 virus is still a concern in our world. Because of this, celebrating Christmas has few changes here and there. And for the safety of everyone, some areas in Vigan are limited and prohibited.   In Ilocos Sur, especially in Vigan City, Bigue ñ os celebrate these festivities in a unique kind of way because of the limitations. Some of them are celebrating outside whether it be at restaurants or some tourist spots, some of them also just celebrate indoors inside their houses.   No matter where and how we celebrate Christmas, we shouldn’t forget that Christmas is a day for everyone to celebrate with their family and friends together. I hope that the Covid virus would be gone after everything that happened so that our usual lives would be back to normal. Now that the Christmas and New Year are over, we should brace ourselves and face the future ahead of us. https://i1.wp.com/www.travelworldheritage.com/wp-content...

Into The World of HTML

In this second quarter, a new world has been introduced to us students. This is the world of html. We have been taught how to use, as well how to create html tags. It was fun and challenging proceeding as I learn about html tags.   It was the most enjoyable subject to me because it picked my interest and helped me solve problems like internet connections and how to address them. Overall, it was the best learning experience for me so far especially with the ongoing pandemic that learning is a little bit harder.   But now it is time for me to go forward and learn more things, facing me is the second half of the semester, the third quarter. What would be the new stuff for me to learn? Only the future knows.

Festivals into the new normal

Every year, places in the world celebrates a special occasion every year. One of them is the “Kannawidan Festival” in vigan.   We see an increase in the number of cases in our country every single day. And because of that there may be difficulties while celebrating Kannawidan on January 25 th .   Here in Ilocos Sur, we are in the third level alert, so it is critical to maintain a distance and to follow the rules and guidelines. But just not because of this, we cannot celebrate festivals, because it is also possible to celebrate indoors.   Festivals are a good way to celebrate culture and traditions, as they are made for people to rejoice and connect with their loved ones. But we shouldn’t forget that the safety of our friends and family are more important in our lives.

A new year, a new beginning

Another year has passed and it’s time for us to say goodbye to 2021. Welcoming us 2022, another year in our life, a new beginning in life. The new year is a day that brings everyone happiness throughout the world that happens only once in a year. A day in which everything is bright and decorated. A day that gives everyone a hope.        January 1, the day celebrated as the new year. The day where everyone wears new clothes, and wishes a happy new year to each other, the day where everyone is happy bonding together, bursting out laughing, singing karaoke, where you see fireworks and hear firecracker here and there, and exchanging gifts to each other.        The new year is also the day where often people try to change their selves, in which they make a new year’s resolution, which are goals they would like to achieve or changes they would like to make to their lives. One may try to make their selves lose we...
